On the morning of December 16th, Venerable Xian Gui and Venerable Xian Gang received Fergal, who had made a reservation to visit the temple. Fergal is a Buddhist from Ireland and resides in Utrecht now. He described himself as an inexperienced Buddhist and expressed a desire to learn Buddhism teachings and improve himself under the guidance of our venerable masters and the monastic community.
During his visit, Fergal tasted vegetarian food at the temple and participated in the study of the Abhidharma-kośa led by Venerable Xian Gang. He found it to be a fruitful experience and hoped to learn Buddhism continuously with our monastic community in the future. In the afternoon, the Sangha went on an excursion to visit the Utrecht Cathedral, providing everyone with a rich cultural experience.
