The Lotus Sutra, also known in its full name as the Sutra on the White Lotus of the True Dharma, is venerated as the king of all sutras. Its central themes are on the One Buddha-Vehicle doctrine, which entails that all us sentient beings have buddha nature and can attain buddhahood.
The scriptures contain profound wisdom and compassion. People can accumulate immeasurable merits by reciting, practicing, writing, explaining or making offerings to this sutra.
