On December 18th, Master Xian Gui and Master Xian Gang gave Buddhist lessons to students aged 8 to 12 in three classes at the invitation of Vleuten Elementary School in Utrecht, the Netherlands. These lessons were part of the school's "Beautiful Asia" project. During the courses, the masters explained the origin and history of Buddhism, introduced Bodhisattvas and buddhist monks. Additionally, the masters elaborated on the concept of dependent origination in Buddhism using props such as stones. The students also had the opportunity to experience Buddhist meditation and the act of offering incense to the Buddha.
The primary school students participated actively and asked many unique and insightful questions enthusiastically. The masters' responses provided the students with a close and interactive encounter with Buddhism, leaving both teachers and students delighted. The masters hoped that the seeds of Buddhism could be sown in these pure and beautiful young minds through this exchange activity.
