"On May 15th, the eighth day of the fourth lunar month, at 10 a.m., the Dutch Longquan Great Compassion Temple officially held the Buddha's Birthday Bathing and Blessing Ceremony. Both monastic and lay communities gathered together to participate in this grand event. The assembly first conducted the Grand Offering and Shakyamuni Offering ceremonies. Then, with the bell and drum of the main hall ringing in unison, the ceremonial team respectfully proceeded to the hall to welcome the statue of Prince Siddhartha. Master Xian Ao then placed the statue in a golden basin to formally begin the sacred bathing ritual. Together, the congregation chanted the Buddha bathing gatha: Today I bathe all Tathagatas, purifying the ocean of merits with wisdom, helping all sentient beings be free from defilement, and realizing the pure Dharma body of the Tathagata.' Amid the chanting, participants from the east and west sequences took turns bathing the Buddha, praying for the compassionate blessings of our teacher Shakyamuni Buddha to remove our obstacles and illuminate our wisdom. The ceremony was successfully concluded, leaving the attendees feeling refreshed in body and spirit, filled with the joy of the Dharma. In the evening, the monastic community recited precepts, and Master Xian Ao read the 'Brahmajala Sutra, Bodhisattva Precepts'."
