Establishment of the ‘Incense Cloud Chatra’ Workshop

On the morning of December 17th, the Long Quan Great Compassion Monastery officially established the ‘Incense Cloud Chatra’ Workshop and successfully held its first meeting, attracting many devotees interested in incense making to come and participate.

Making and burning incense is not only a way to make offerings to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, but also a way to cultivate one's body and mind. The raw materials used in incense making come from natural plants, most of which have medicinal value. By smelling the incense, the aroma enters the body and helps to regulate the balance of Yin and Yang, invigorate positive energy and calm the mind.

Master XianGui and Master XianGang presided over the meeting and engaged in pleasant exchanges with everyone. During the incense-making session in the afternoon, lay Buddhist practitioner Jiang Yuzhu patiently answered questions and taught the various steps of making incense. The atmosphere on-site was lively yet orderly. All people maintained a state of meditation, equanimity and concentration while participating in incense making and burning with respectful mindset.
