On the morning of May 21st, faculties and students from the MBO Utrecht Event Academy visited our monastery, with Master Xian Ao and lay Buddhist Zhang Lijun as hosts. This educational project considers it crucial to foster students' social and cultural awareness, aiming to acquaint them with diverse cultures and worldviews. The Great Compassion Monastery in the Netherlands served as the destination for this visit, offering an important opportunity to explore Buddhist perspectives and methodologies. The activity began with Master Xian Ao introducing the Buddhist worldview, discussing essential reflections on life and existence, as well as the teachings of the Dharma. The master also answered questions from the visitors and shared stories about different Buddha statues and ritual instruments in the monastery, further deepening everyone’s understanding of Buddhist culture. After the event, we received feedback from the teachers indicating that 30 people participated and the students responded very positively. They showed particular interest in the answers provided and the stories about various Buddha statues and ritual instruments. The teachers also expressed gratitude for the monastery's warm reception and informative presentations.
